FULL-TIME LEAD DESIGNER REQUIRED (12 MONTH MATERNITY COVER)!

About the role:

Our Lead Designer is having a little baby so we need to find a suitable, temporary, replacement to pick up her responsibilities for the duration of her maternity leave. You will be responsible for managing the creative department in line with the company's identity and Creative Director's vision, ensuring all creative materials are produced to a high-quality, on-time and are commercially viable. You will also manage a small team consisting of a Designer and part-time Artworker.

About you:

We're looking for someone that really understands Ohh Deer's creative vision and can lead and direct the company across all creative channels. You should be passionate about design and have an excellent understanding of the Adobe suite.

You will also need to be highly organised as well as being able to successfully motivate and lead a small team, ensuring that deadlines are met and our creative vision continues to remain strong.

You will also be involved in finding new creative talent, making excellent products and beautiful visual marketing materials.

You'll be a member of our management team, so you will also be involved with helping us steer the direction of the company.

You shouldn't be afraid to get stuck in and you'll work closely with key departments within the company, including the Company Directors. You must understand our companies identify and voice. We want someone that will fit into the company quickly and easily, ensuring that our creative department continues to work at the same high standard until Jade returns.

Most people will recognise us for our main website (ohhdeer.com) but we also have two shops (in Loughborough and Ipswich), sell directly to other shops across the globe through our trade activity and run a monthly stationery subscription service called 'Papergang'.

We're passionate about what we do and are constantly looking for the next up and coming illustrator or product for our portfolio. We aspire to be the go-to place to find quirky cards, stationery and gifts.

Ohh Deer accumulates over a million unique visitors across its websites each year, and our web team is at the core of ensuring our online services are capable of delivering the quality of service our customers have grown to expect from Ohh Deer. Our web team also develop in-house apps, which support the day to day running of our warehouse, marketing, and sales teams. We’re looking for a Magento developer who is looking to shake up the greeting card and gifting industry, in a fast-growing company where no two days are the same.

You will be responsible for helping us maintain and develop company websites focusing on usability and high quality. Our website is often the first interaction people have with our company, so having the best website is essential for us as first impressions really do matter.

The role sits within our Digital Operations department, currently a team of 2. We're a fast-paced company with lots of ideas, this role will be vital in helping us reach our ambitions.

About you:

We're looking for someone that has an excellent grasp on web development within Magento. You should be competent and savvy with your ideas and work ethic. We're still a small team, so contributing ideas will be essential.

You will also need to be highly organised as well as having a good eye for detail and design.

We are still a small company and you should be used to this type or environment and want to work in it - it can be challenging but also more fulfilling as you will help steer our web development direction.

CASUAL PICK / PACK WAREHOUSE STAFF REQUIRED!

We're looking for casual pick / pack warehouse staff to join our busy warehouse in Loughborough. While the position is on a part time casual basis, there is opportunity to move onto a more permanent role based on performance and availability. Experience isn't essential, but an understanding of how a warehouse operates would be desired. You should understand the importance of fulfilling orders accurately and on time to meet customer satisfaction and be driven by targets. Our warehouse is run via an electronic warehouse operating system (PeopleVox), so having a good grasp of modern day technology is essential for this role.
